HELP OTHERS! = A Paramedic Code
Philippians 4
The Peace of God is a GIFT from the Holy Spirit but we have choices to make and we could either receive or reject this Gift.
On the Surface, our natural inclination threatens Real Peace but Paul said that we should refocus our thoughts on what is True, Good and Honourable. This is not avoidance of issues in our life! When we refocus on what is true, pure and honourable, we face our own Failures! We become realistic about human evil which can cause harm to others and even to ourselves, disease and even death! But we care to the point of tears! In your future life as a Paramedic, your caring will be the driving force of your rescuing people and alleviating their pain, helping them recover from harm or injury or death!
Below the Surface, we have unseen motives that makes us self-centered. Instead God wants us to love others no matter what. When faced with your patients, this heartfelt concern for others will bring you lasting Peace.
Lastly, at a still Deeper Level, in our beliefs, especially when crisis comes we are faced with a test of Faith, in believing that the LORD is with us or not! Above it all, our honest concern for others must emerge from our belief that our God is attentively looking after our every need. Only when this Truth becomes permanent ith you, will you be able to HELP OTHERS!
This Confidence in God is the reason "you can do all things through Christ Who Strengthens you" and "my God shall provide all my needs according to His riches and Glory through Chrsit Jesus". This is the secret of your Peace of mind after a a difficult day's work - and there will be a lot of difficult days ahead! Face it with this Confidence!Through Christ Jesus. Amen.!
