relationships beyond definition

It’s really hard to summarize one’s friendship/relationship to one another, it is never ever predictable nor consistent nor fit any particular adjective and hence, adds the zip and zing to the journey when one’s paths crossed another, sometimes it is not intentional and that’s when you know for sure that God has ordained that you two will find each other in a “mysterious way” that only God can fashion. As time transforms both persons, the relationship takes on a different meaning and a different level. To you it becomes worth your while.

One of <>emails I received last month...

The sender reminded of an email written on the 9th of June 2005;
"to jog your memory again, I have told you again and again that you are always "perfect and beautiful" in my eyes, let's face it you're intelligent, brilliant even, have a lot of potential, quick learner....." (what follows is your sermon to me on why I was not "brilliant" that sunday..and then the "crux of the matter")...

Then she wrote further…
...and thus our mentoring relationship began.
WHAT A WONDERFUL way to begin... hehe..... it's been 3 years...imagine that... hats off to you for surviving me that long... hehe :-)
I just wanted to express my most deepest,…sincerest, heartfelt gratitude for taking me on as your mentee. I know your God given, especially since my spiritual father and mother left me like an orphan and shattered beyond disbelief... the harsh blow was softened and didn't linger as I realised, I still had you... and tito <> :-)
I thank you for continuing to be of great support and encouragement to me spiritually, mentally, and even physically....thank you for your love <>
Thank you for sowing into my life, and helping me grow to be the woman God has called me to be.
I thank you because many times you have been the eyes, the ears and the mouth of Jesus in my life. In the many times I have failed to see God in my life; in the times I needed to hear His encouraging words and the times I needed to pour out my heart, you've been there to listen and point me upward.
Most of all thank you for believing in me... believing that somewhere in this unworthy, unable, incapable and messed up young woman; there is a heart that is being molded to be used mightily by our great God to build His Kingdom. In times where I doubted and feared my call, you have been there to lift and encourage ...to the point I actually started to really believe that God indeed does have a great purpose and call on my life, that I am a princess, warrior and daughter of the most High King, Lord and Saviour, Christ Jesus....and for the Godly wisdom and Christ-like influence you exuberate into my life, I put 2 hands up in praise and glory to our Heavenly Father, that he sends women like you to teach and to build me up.
I praise God for your life... and the blessing that you have been to me... I pray that you will gladly and abundantly reap the harvest of rewards that so greatly awaits your faithful heart...
May God give you another blessed year to come....I love you so much <>. I know this email is late (sorry) but hope you had a great birthday!

and my nickname has a Dutch origin and means "home ruler", " a strong and queenly disposition, she loves to be in command, and have the last word, graceful and calm under pressure, makes for a leader in whom all trust, knowledgeable and witty, she loves to cause trouble and be into everything and anything; one knows her by her ever-present smile (or laugh)

We should be so one with God that we don’t need to ask continually for guidance. Sanctification means that we are made the children of God. A child’s life is normally obedient, until he chooses disobedience. But as soon as he chooses to disobey, an inherent inner conflict is produced. On the spiritual level, inner conflict is the warning of the Spirit of God. When He warns us in this way, we must stop at once and be renewed in the spirit of our mind to discern God’s will (see Romans12:2 ). If we are born again by the Spirit of God, our devotion to Him is hindered, or even stopped, by continually asking Him to guide us here and there. ". . . the Lord led me . . ." and on looking back we see the presence of an amazing design. If we are born of God we will see His guiding hand and give Him the credit. We can all see God in exceptional things, but it requires the growth of spiritual discipline to see God in every detail. Never believe that the so-called random events of life are anything less than God’s appointed order. Be ready to discover His divine designs anywhere and everywhere.Beware of being obsessed with consistency to your own convictions instead of being devoted to God. If you are a saint and say, "I will never do this or that," in all probability this will be exactly what God will require of you. There was never a more inconsistent being on this earth than our Lord, but He was never inconsistent with His Father. The important consistency in a saint is not to a principle but to the divine life. It is the divine life that continually makes more and more discoveries about the divine mind. It is easier to be an excessive fanatic than it is to be consistently faithful, because God causes an amazing humbling of our religious conceit when we are faithful to Him.

1-2 So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

The secret is this: I have learned there is little I can do in my life that will make me truly happy. I must depend on God to make me happy and meet my needs. When a need arises in my life, I have to trust God to supply according to HIS riches. I have learned most of the time I don't need half of what I think I do. HE has never let me down.
