what is your default?.....

I was just connecting with a good friend of mine who is a missionary among the poor, and she was telling me her fears and insecurities whilst ministering to them. She is encountering hardships and trials one after the other, much like what Paul, Peter and the other Biblical missionaries encountered as they obeyed the Great Commission. And this is what I wrote back to her...

"..it's true and it is ok to feel the way you do, you have described it so vividly it's as if I was there too, but remember that when you don't know, the Lord Knows...when you're feeling small and puny, the Lord is Strong...when you're feeling scared, the Lord is your Courage...and with sickness, drug addiction, deformities, and infirmities around you, you do not even have to pray for Healing, you just need to rebuke the enemy and claim on the Lord's promises , if a person is in the Lord, if one has appropriated the power of the Holy Spirit then Wisdom, Fortitude, Health, Wealth, Courage and Strength are given constants, all of these are our defaults..!

in verses 3-6 of the Book of Ephesians..
How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He's the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son. (Ephesians 1- the Message).

The promise He has given is too marvellous and indescribable! He had us in mind and it was His purpose to to take us into the high places of blessing! What an utter cure for our guilt, insecurities and fears!
