MENTORING FUTURE MENTORS

30 November 2018 Life Church Leaders Night Judges 5:2 by Ps Paul Judges 5:2 (ESV) “That the leaders took the lead in Israel, that the people offered themselves willingly, bless the Lord! (ESV) “For the leaders who took the lead in Israel, For the people who volunteered [for battle], Bless the Lord! (Amplified) For that the leaders took the lead in Israel, For that the people offered themselves willingly, Bless ye Jehovah. (ASV) “Israel’s leaders took charge and the people gladly followed. Praise the Lord! (NLT) IDMC not just a vision nor a church program - it is a way of life. In the book of Judges, we can see the power of agreement between the leaders in charge and the willingness of the people to follow - is the recipe of a healthy church. A healthy church is built on the sacrifices of many, not on the gifts of a few. there 5 key considerations: Leaders who lead, must take charge! 1.Determine the BATTLE LINE - In the THE FIGHT OF FAITH, we must wear the armour of God. It is time to gird up, Ephesians 6:10 says 'Take a Stand" 2. Examine the FAULT LINE - when you're taking charge, faultlines will appear ( personal weakness, marriage issues, ...). Fault lines does not say you're a bad leader, God wants us to deal with real issues. WE LEAD AS WE BLEED. 3. Avoid the SIDE LINE - STAY MISSION FOCUSED. Do not let the good things distract you 4. Focus on the END LINE - the sense of purpose and destiny is from GOD. When our LORD says to us " well done, good and faithful servant", it means it is a deed. It is not the learning, not the studying, but it is the DOING part! 5. Honour the PLUMB LINE - The plumb line is a measuring, calculating device. It is NOT OUR WORK, BUT OUR WALK ( transformation). We NEED God to work in us and through us!
