PS.(King Lemuel wrote the last chapter of Proverbs but he credits his mother with the wisdom contained in his words. Whereas most of Proverbs deals with a father speaking to his son, this chapter contains a mother’s wisdom that she gives to her son. )
In the prior post, I quoted King Solomon to be the author of Proverbs 31. Most interpreters are of opinion that Lemuel is like a nickname or petname of Solomon by his mother (as a mother, I do give petnames to my 3 boys, some they love). But a few scholars and academes think (and it could be probable) that Lemuel was a prince of some neighbouring country, whose mother was a daughter of Israel, perhaps of the house of David, and taught him these good lessons.
