"I believed it, so I said it,"

new year 65 days old..... this was the first Greetings I sent out on the first day of 2008
Dear Beloved Friends and Faithful Associates,
Just like the psalmist who wrote, "I believed it, so I said it," we say what we believe.

And what we believe is that the One who raised up the Master Jesus will just as certainly raise us up with you, alive. Every detail works to your advantage and to God's glory: more and more grace, more and more people, more and more praise! <2 Cor 4> the message
even when the world seem dark and people don't care "I believed it, so I said it," that His Name is Compassion and His other Name is Love
even when wars and famines surround us "I believed it, so I said it," that He is the Maker of heaven and earth and He controls all harvests and will bring Peace to all the land
even when world hunger and moral decadence is too deep and too big and it seems the Goliath of our times, "I believed it, so I said it," David defeated this giant and God is at work in every unnamed missionary and every faceless worker that selflessly offered their lives in the mission field for people they don't even know
even when the children suffer at the hands of those who profess to take care of them, and their cries fell on deaf ears,"I believed it, so I said it," that my God was the one Who said " let the little children come to me for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these"
even when people are at the end of their ropes, yet they refuse to come to Jesus the Hope of Humanity, "I believed it, so I said it," that my Lord came to save the lost and He is saying "Today is the Day of Salvation"
even when the year brought leanness to our souls when marriages break down, relationships are rejected and friends turned their backs on us, "I believed it, so I said it," that our God is the Restorer and the Redeemer
even when the year brought empty pockets and finances seem to dwindle, "I believed it, so I said it," that He is called Jehovah Jireh, God-Provider, He will prosper us out of His riches and glory through Christ Jesus
Let us all declare His Triumph, Peace, Comfort and Power for 2008!

Humans are the only creature created by God with the gift of speech. And God uses our words to affect the nature of our faith. A person asked me once if I knew what will happen to me after I die, and I said I was going to heaven. After the conversation, I thought about what I said, and came to the conclusion that the realities of Kingdom life are often not merely acknowledged passively, but spoken into being, as God did in creation. It is absurd to speak of one's destiny before it happens.. because we don't know the future. But in God's language of faith, it is as certain as the breath which declares it so.. I am saved.. I know life, I have peace ....

My prayer, when I get discouraged is: I believe, Lord, help me with my unbelief.

What a great blog Tita .. look forward to more.
