voltage, plugs and generators...

voltage, plugs and generators...what have they in common? electricity is what comes to my mind, same as what I felt, the electrifying and regenerating "whooshing" touch of the Holy Spirit while we were at worship!

I am talking about last weekend, we were in the midst of the stunning beauty of the Kangaroo Valley on the South Coast, with its lush river valley ( we were speechless witnesses to its river and the hills around it!)and all I can come up with to sum it up is the Magnificence of the One Who created it. Deeply awed and run out of words. Really beyond description.

And you think the Enemy will just stand there and not spoil the fun? This is what he did. He made one of them miss out due to a school exam, he struck one of them with a virus, then there was the issue of space in the car of where to put all the packed provisions, then confusing the map so it took us 3 hours for a 2-hour trip and just before we headed out, my husband got a call from our youngest son who just passed his red P a week ago, that he was sideswiped by another car on his way to tutor class and we have to rush back to assist him.

This is the response from God, instead of feeling defeated, we got a fresh new revelation from Him, these situations merit more than a physical solution, it needed a close exposure to His Power and Glory. Oh wow!

God caused us to see the meaning behind and beyond the song.....
" I see a generation
Rising up to take the place
With selfless faith, with selfless faith
I see a new revival
Staring as we pray and seek
We're on our knees, we're on our knees" (Hosanna, B Fraser)

This weekend was about a Young Adults Retreat, where we talked to this group of young people of God, gave some exhortations and teachings, bonded with them, laughed at their jokes, discussed with them, even helped them with their fever (one of them caught a virus the day before). We knew that, no matter what, inspite and because of all the odds, God is raising up a generation that will usher in His Second Coming, this is an exciting vision!

These young ones (amazing that they are mostly males and musically gifted) achieved to develop a vision, enhanced the unity among themselves and prophesized words of encouragement to one another. I would like to mention a few of the things they talked about
"being handpicked by God",
"massive and huge turnouts",
"voices that will minister to others"
"spirituality that will equal their musicality",
"leadership that knows no bounds",
"hearts of compassion"..
..so many more...

We began with God and now we end with Him - to quote the song (cut version)-
"You are my Strength, like no other
You are my Hope, like no other
reaches to me....."

God is LOVE, like No other..!
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
