last Friday, it was tiara day for my church ladies' circle, most turned up wearing their tiara in all its glory! we kinda felt special wearing it on our heads, I wonder why? women are called and chosen to be the Daughters-Princess-Warriors! We're feminine, yes, but brave and strong in the face of conflict.
I got to thinking about the verses we were studying in Ephesians 6 like wearing the helmet of salvation...
13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
My imagery is that as strong believers in Christ we are already wearing three things: the belt, the breastplate and the shoes. My opinion would be that even in times of peace, our standard clothing would be the belt, breastplate and shoes, even when sleeping. So as to be prepared - all the time!
Then in preparation for active combat we put on the rest: the shield, sword and helmet. And the woman in me will think "Good, I'll wear my tiara under the protective helmet"! It is especially designed to fit!
Well, truth be told, I forgot to bring my tiara that night - hence I took a photo of it here. A case of senior moment...But I promise to wear it from now on -under my helmet. Beware the enemy!
Blessings and Prosperity be yours, Psalm 128
