my first response ...

The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away;
may the name of the LORD be praised." Job 1:20

Ask your self this - what is my first response when troubles come my way?

Job 1:20 (NIV)
"At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship."
Indeed Job gave vent to his emotions when confronted with the tragic news of the disappearance and possibly violent death of all his children. All of them - no one was spared. The Bible said he " tore his robe and shaved his head " which is his culture's way of displaying grief and deep sadness.

However...his heart eventually and instantly went into worship-mode.

"Lord,
help me to remember to worship you as my first response in any good or bad thing that may happen to me. Remind me that when I am in the middle of difficult circumstances that You are the Lord of my circumstance. Remind me that the name Jesus is the Name above all my problems, all my distresses and all my trials. Grant that each adversity will cause me to fall on my knees and bow to you in Worship! Amen!
