My Formal Education + God’s Design = Masterpiece!

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)

Today I read about a bright young lawyer who questioned God. She graduated top ten of her class and is now in a very good position in a high profile law company. But she hated everything associated with her profession.

` Somehow, I relate to that. After completing a Degree in Science and accomplishing a postgraduate diploma in Medicine and Surgery, I migrated to Australia, completed another Certificate in Microcomputer technology and landed a well-positioned job in a big Pharmaceutical company. Yet I am not happy. I would not say I hated it for it provided income for my family. However, I do not have complete joy and every morning I wake up, I dread coming to work! I’m in a church with a lukewarm approach to ministry and a few projects I initiated went down in smoke. I reached my golden age status last year. Now I am really worried that I have missed so many opportunities to make an impact in my church and community. I have not given up and I hope that I will never ever reach that point of total frustration.

Jeremiah 1:5 says, "I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as My prophet to the nation" (NLT).

Psalm 139:16 says, "You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed" (NLT).

This lawyer had a happy ending. I am still looking for mine.

Today, I start again....
I HONOUR God with my past,
TRUST Him with my present;
BELIEVE Him for my future.
